Please be sure you make Nicola aware of the facts of the CAS call and make the call in a private location. You can definitely ask a resource teacher to be with you when you call them for support and to take the notes.
Tips:
1. have Power Teacher open so you will be able to access the child’s birthdate, home address ect.
2. be aware of any other siblings they have in the school
3. report your observations to CAS and keep a written copy of the dialogue
4. always ask for the name of the person you are making the report to and make a note of it
5. Record the outcome of the call (i.e., CAS informed, CAS to follow up with family … )
